1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using PI Finder, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
PI Finder identifies research supervisors (professors) matching the criteria you provide, using verified sources together with AI that ranks and summarises them, and produces a report.
3. Accuracy of results — important disclaimer
Results are drawn from verified sources and checked on a best-effort basis, and are ranked and summarised using AI. They may be incomplete, outdated, or occasionally inaccurate — professors move and stop taking students without updating their pages. You must independently verify any professor’s details — name, affiliation, email, and recruiting status — before contacting them or relying on the information. PI Finder does not guarantee admission, responses, or the accuracy of any result, and is not liable for decisions made based on the reports.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no automated scraping, no attempts to bypass plan limits or security, no unlawful use, and no sharing of your account. One account per person; the free tier is limited to a single search per account.
5. Plans & payments
Free, Plus, and Pro plans carry the limits described on our pricing page. When paid plans launch, subscription and refund terms will be presented at checkout. Plan limits and prices may change with notice.
6. Accounts & termination
You are responsible for keeping your login secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the service. You may close your account at any time.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PI Finder is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for outcomes of your academic applications.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
